The game opens with a very dramatic cutscene where we meet the main protagonist, Squall Leonhart, who is fighting Seifer. With that out of the way, let’s get started on this character review. I know that he makes other cameo appearances in other games, but I have no opinion on them as I haven’t played any of them. A fighting game is where he really belongs, not Kingdom Hearts (Auron too, for that matter). I would’ve been much happier if Seifer had taken Laguna’s place in Dissidia 012: Duodecim. The only thing I like about Seifer in the game was how he still has his posse and how Vivi from Final Fantasy IX is apart of it. However,if you love Seifer as much as I did, I hope you will enjoy your read.īefore we dive into the events of Final Fantasy VIII, know that I am not a fan of Kingdom Hearts II. This easily makes him the most complex and intriguing character in the entire game.įor me, Seifer’s appeal comes mostly from the fact that poor Seifer has the rotten luck of being the only interesting character in a game full of morons (literally everyone that you’re supposed to be rooting for is a damn fool). While he is your enemy throughout the game, he is not a villain in the same right as Sephiroth or Kefka. Laguna further elaborates that when the voices are in his head, he becomes much stronger and more resilient in battle Aerith confirms that this is also not something that happens to her. In her situation the voices in the planet are so numerous that she can't clearly understand what it says. When asked to describe the faeries, Laguna explains that he hears loud and clear interjections, but Aerith tells him that those voices are probably not the planet speaking to him, as she knows it. Cater, Yuri, and Hope join the conversation to ruminate on Laguna's question. Because he knows that she can commune with the planet, Laguna asks if he might be an Ancient as well because of the "faeries" in his head. Laguna hesitantly approaches Aerith as she prays to ask her a question.
